“I am very comfortable and happy with the project we are taking part in. For the first time,I feel that I am an active member of my community and that I am able to create an impact, especially if our group wins the grant for the project I will be pitching. It would be the first project for people with special needs within my area. I know that we have special needs, but it comes with special abilities and strengths. In this project we are united, and we will continue to be.” – Iman,a member of the Youth Climate Action Lebanon (YCAL) funded by DRI and implemented by Sustain the World.

YCAL members joined a capacity support programme offering coaching sessions and a chance for five groups to present their project ideas on climate change in Lebanon in front of a selection committee which will be composed of DRI,Sustain the World representatives, and municipalities representatives such as the head of the union, and climate change expert.

The winner will receive a financial grant of 3000 euro to implement a climate action project in the targeted area.
