Digital Democracy

In collaboration with project partner European Partnership for Democracy, DRI’s Digital Democracy team worked to embed the regulation of digital policy issues within a democracy framework to promote a healthy, democratic, digital public sphere. In accordance with this, DRI (1) monitored updates to the Code of Practice on Disinformation, with 2 major reviews of the Code’s implementation by platforms; (2) mobililsed member state expertise with a comprehensive update to the knowledge hub and up to 4 workshops with member state CDSOs to discuss their experiences and lessons learned; (3) supported the creation of a European elections network of civil society experts; and (4) supported EPD with technical disinformation and hate speech issues by contacting our network and participating in workshops.
