The project aimed to provide a capacity building training of 20 women who ran for the Local Elections of 2023 in DRC. On one hand, DRI approached 10 women with solid political expertise from countries around the world (Senegal, Bénin, Belgium, DRC, France and Germany) play a role of mentor, on the other DRI organised a local training for women willing to run for the election and selected 20 of them who would be the mentees. In sequel, DRI facilitated a mentorship program, at first physically in DRC and then remotely, between the mentors and the mentees that lasted until the day of the elections.
