The curriculum includes lectures, interactive discussions and practical tasks. Together with leading experts and trainers, we invite you to learn how to:
- Bring your ideas to the community and attract like-minded people;
- Build communication and media work;
- Create civil coalitions, interact with state authorities and local self-government bodies;
- Attract grant support for your socially important projects;
- Become part of social and political processes at the all-Ukrainian or local levels.
After completing the training, participants will:
- Understand the functions and competencies of the authorities;
- Know how to influence decisions made at the local and national levels;
- Learn the skills and tools of active public participation;
- Be able to monitor the implementation of reforms;
- Know how to implement advocacy campaigns, convey your ideas to society and attract like-minded people to your projects;
- Find possible partners and learn about their experience;
- Know how to develop and implement your own projects.
Upon completion of the School, the winners will have the opportunity to receive financial support from DRI and expert support for the implementation of their own projects/initiatives. Participants of the School will also be able to participate in other DRI programs, in particular, in internships in state and local self-government bodies, and competitions for small grants for the implementation of initiatives in communities.
The organizers of the School cover the travel expenses, provide meals and accommodation.
We expect participants:
- aged 18 to 35, who want to improve their knowledge and skills in practical democracy in wartime, as well as learn how to develop and successfully implement their own political projects and initiatives;
- who, after completing the School, are ready to implement the acquired knowledge and skills;
- applications from internally displaced youth and people living in front-line and de-occupied regions are welcomed;
