Defying Stereotypes Through Art in Tripoli & Mina

It has been a thrilling jouey as we embarked on a partnership with the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace. Our recent tours of Tripoli and Mina have inspired local artists and,at the same time,challenged entrenched misconceptions about these two cities.

In the runup to an upcoming digital marketing campaign,local artists explored the hidden facets of Tripoli and Mina through touristic sightseeing. The campaign will take center stage at a November fair in Mina,marking the project’s finale.

The tour showcased the hidden gems and untapped tourism potential of both Tripoli and Mina. These cities have been long stigmatised by the stereotypes of violence and poverty,which we have set out to challenge and dominate with a more positive perception. By highlighting these aspects,we hope to attract visitors and create economic opportunities.

“Thanks to this project I felt the responsibility of representing my city. At the end of the site visit I discovered hidden touristic areas I did not know of,” said a participant from Tripoli.
