DRI continues to actively participate in the parliamentary sub-committee’s sessions focused on reforming the Municipal Law,as part of the parliamentary committee for National Defence,Interior,and Municipalities. DRI proposed essential amendments to the current Municipal Law. The sessions were conducted on 8,16,22,and 30 May 2023.
During these gatherings,the committee specifically deliberated on Articles 74 to 86. Some were approved,while others were deferred for further discussion. DRI’s involvement attested to their commitment to enhancing the Municipal Law and promoting effective goveance at the local level.
