This report provides a detailed look at Pakistan’s election-related legislation, identifying shortcomings and formulating recommendations for improvement. It is based on a framework of international law to which Pakistan has committed, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), which Pakistan ratified in 2010.
