AHEAD Africa is a Pan-African Project focused on election observation in Sub-Saharan Africa. The project aims to strengthen local CSOs through capacity building trainings on democratic governance and electoral follow-up. The project also aims to execute research about election-related topics in order to provide evidence to support CSOs’ advocacy for democratic accountability and transparent electoral processes. Furthermore, the project works on renewing spaces for dialogue, coordination and collaboration on electoral observation and follow-up, between CSOs, citizen observers and other stakeholders.
The project is composed of a Consortium of 6 main partners: AfEONET, Africtivistes, DRI, East and Horn of Africa Election Observers Network (E-HORN), Electoral Support Network of Southern Africa (ESN-SA), West Africa Election Observers Network (WAEON)
